Among the details revealed by the leaks of Windows 8.1 Update 1 was one that called wide attention: the possibility of anchoring the Windows Store applications on the taskbar. We now know that such a possibility can not be reduced to show only an icon but incorporate other options such as 'jump lists' or the media controls.
The 'jump lists' were introduced in Windows 7 and are displayed when you click the right mouse button on the icon in the taskbar program. Through them we have access to all kinds of documents, pictures, videos, files, addresses or even options related to a desktop program. If nothing changes, Windows 8.1 Update 1 added these 'jump lists' to Modern UI applications.
