There are plenty of reasons to believe the Detroit Lions will end the once-promising 2016 season with a whimper Saturday in Seattle.
The Lions have lost three consecutive games and looked poor in all three. They went 0-5 against playoff teams this season. The Seattle Seahawks are 7-1 at CenturyLink Field this season and haven't lost there in a playoff game since 2005. The Lions haven't won a playoff game in more than two decades, and just one since 1957.
Those are likely just a few of the reasons just about every NFL expert on the interwebs is picking Seattle to win Saturday night's NFC Wild Card game (8:15 p.m., NBC). If you go to NFLPickWatch.com, a website that tallies every single NFL expert prediction it can find for each week's NFL games, you'll find, well, a sea of Seahawks logos.
